Ignite

The ICF Foundation envisions a world in which coaching accelerates and amplifies positive impact on humanity and the planet. The Ignite Initiative was launched in 2017 to support this mission using the collective power of ICF Chapters, Members and Credential-holders.

Ignite is a call for individual, ICF-credentialed coaches to work as a team to provide pro bono coaching to a partner organization whose mission is aligned with a United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goal. Individual ICF Chapters lead their own Ignite programs and the ICF Foundation provides tools, support and best practices, allowing coaches to focus on achieving the greatest impact.

In 2020, ICF Philadelphia partnered with Women’s Way for our first Ignite Program. In 2021, our partner organization was Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence. In 2022, our partner organization was Maternity Care Coalition. In 2023, our partner organization was Urban Affairs Coalition.

Through the generous engagement of our member coaches, we have provided nearly 300 hours of coaching to over 40 leaders in these organizations. Feedback from the participants in both cohorts was overwhelmingly positive and most respondents reported that they made significant positive changes in all areas of leadership as a result of the program.

Through the Ignite Program, ICF Philadelphia not only builds relationships with our partner organizations, we gain broader visibility which helps to further our Chapter’s mission to expand the impact and reach of coaching in our area and help create coaching partnerships in our community.
