Emotional Alignment in Teams

with Dan Newby from The School of Emotions

January 10, 2023

12:00 pm-1:30 pm

The Event

The way we typically try to align a team is through their vision, mission, objectives, or behaviors. What we’ve completely missed is that all of these are based on or driven by emotions. If we don’t align the emotions of all individuals into a team mood we are missing the boat.

Coaches will learn to identify a team’s current mood, their ideal mood, and how to close the gap. Dan has used this methodology with a wide variety of team types and sizes and they are always amazed at the new possibilities it introduces, including:

How to introduce emotion into your individual or group coaching

How to show a team the power of working with their emotions

How to help a team identify their current and ideal moods and how to close the gap

Learning Objectives

  • Explore the purpose of supervision in relation to duty of care
  • Explore self-supervision and share ways to expand this practice
  • Gain clarity on what you do with the outcomes and learnings from supervision
  • Gain clarity on how you know what to take to supervision
  • Understand what effective self-supervision looks like
