Questions to ask yourself before talking with a coach:

  • What goals do I want a coach to help me achieve?
  • What help, support or tools do I want from a coach? 

Some questions you may want to ask a coach include: 

  • What is your coaching process?
  • How often do we meet each month and how long is each coaching session?
  • What is the duration of the coaching relationship?
  • How soon will I see results?
  • What are your fees?
  • What is your background, experience, and training?
  • What situations like mine have you coached before?
  • If your experience does not match my needs, can you recommend a coach that may be a better match for me?
  • What success have your clients had in similar situations? 
Questions to ask yourself when selecting your ideal coach:
  • With whom do I feel most connected?
  • Who was the easiest to talk to?
  • Who was the best listener?
  • Who best understood where I am and where I want to be?
  • Who most helped me find my own answers rather than providing their own solutions?
  • Who best fits my values concerning training, experience, process and price?
