A message from the ICF Philadelphia President
As the President of ICF Philadelphia, it is my privilege to lead the charge on behalf of our 360 members to uphold the high standards of coaching established by the International Coach Federation by providing education, professional development, support and networking for coaches in the Greater Philadelphia region. At ICF Philadelphia, we are deeply committed to this mission and have been since our founding almost 20 years ago. We believe unquestioningly and envision a world where people are empowered to reach their full potential through the coaching profession.
In 2016, we reinforced our commitment to be leaders and made changes to our programming, networking, and support focused on the 2016-2018 Strategic Plan to best support the needs of our members.
Here are a few of our 2016 accomplishments: Our new professional development day programs wildly exceeded member expectations by providing seasoned, award-winning coaching experts, conversational forums and new perspectives for growth. In September, we held a Town Hall meeting to openly discuss the Strategic Plan and the future of our chapter. By November, we collaborated and conversed with our ICF Global Leaders to learn more about the future of coaching. In addition, we continued to sponsor the PA Conference for Women and provided pro-bono coaching to more than 400 professional women. Nonprofits like the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Bethesda Project received unparalleled coaching to develop their leaders via participating in our pro bono coaching program. And finally, we expanded the number of strategic partners and sponsorship dollars to help financially support our initiatives.
It’s a pivotal time at ICF Philadelphia. You, our members, constantly motivate us to strive to be and do more. No one person acting alone can achieve our goals. But look around. We all have a role to play in this chapter. Share your talent whenever and wherever you can, in ways big and small. If we all do that, then ICF Philadelphia will really be something worth celebrating.
To your success!
