After significant effort and thorough planning, our International Coaching Week events have been canceled due to insufficient registration.

Summary of opportunities, described in detail below:
Dear ICF Philadelphia Coaches:
  • Do you struggle to explain what it is you do?
  • Do others look at you with blank stares when you say you are an executive or life coach?
  • Do colleagues, friends, family and potential clients indicate interest in coaching but never take the first step to actually benefit from coaching?
  • Are you struggling to get enough clients and make enough money so that you can move from “expensive hobby” to steady income?
ICF’s International Coaching Week (ICW) is designed for you! This communication outlines events that we are planning and, most importantly, how you can get involved. Please read all the way to the end.

ICF’s theme for ICW this year, is:
EXPERIENCE COACHING
Increasing the visibility, understanding and impact of coaching

This year we want to reach out to our Philadelphia community with a positive, practical and instructive program that will introduce people to coaching and help spread the word about how beneficial coaching can be. We also want to expose our area communities to ICF Philadelphia.

To help people in our community learn about coaching, we will invite them to special events that provide insight into what coaching is and how it can benefit them. To give them the experience of coaching, we will provide short laser coaching sessions at our ICW events.
To that end, we have a Monday night activity and three lunchtime activities scheduled for the week of May 19-25, 2014.

All events are held at the PrivLiv Living Room in The Bourse Building at Independence Mall, 111 S. Independence Mall East, 4th Street entrance, 10th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19106 215 525-0099.  Pre-registration is required.

Keynote Talk: Bridging the Gap: Navigating Two Worlds To Create Radical Success, Ann Jenrette-Thomas, Esq., CPCC

Coaches help bridge the gap between intellect and passion, work and life, strategy and action. Ann is passionate about how coaching can bring these worlds together for increased well-being, effectiveness and impact.  Her keynote will be, as she put it, "inspirational and aspirational."  Ann is a perfect example of how to bridge the gap, as she has done it in her own life, and is inspired to help others bridge the gap. You will not want to miss this!

Ann Jenrette-Thomas, Esq., CPCC, is an attorney, professional certified coach, author, and founder of Esquire Coaching.  Ann has spent nearly 18 years helping individuals and organizations overcome obstacles to success.  Her prestigious legal career includes obtaining an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, a clerkship at the Second Circuit, serving as the Legislative Counsel for the New York City Council, working as an Associate at a renowned D.C. firm, and owning her own law practice. Ann calls upon the breadth of her legal experience, coupled with her extensive training and knowledge in organizational development and coaching, to provide her clients with effective solutions that balance both the underlying needs of the business to remain viable as well as individual needs of the attorney. Using a combination of right-brained and left-brained strategies, Ann ensures that her clients achieve comprehensive results that enable them to meet their personal and professional goals.

Here's how you can help make this week a success:

  • Promote the ICW and our specific activities to your networks. There are at least two ways you can do that:
    1. Speak to colleagues and friends about the ICW and the events and invite them to come. An invitation from someone you know and trust is always the best way to generate interest!
    2. Our Marketing Committee will help with press release and social media post copy. Click here to download a flyer to send to your contacts.
  • Exhibit your business at one of the events. We will charge a small amount for your table in order to help defray the costs of the week, but you will be getting very high return exposure in exchange. The rates are: $100.00 per table for the Monday evening event at which we are expecting 60-100 people; $75.00 for each lunch (at which we are expecting 25-50 people).  Deadline to register for a table is May 12.  Click here for more information.  CLICK HERE TO RESERVE A TABLE
  • Sign up to be a 'laser coach" at all or any of the events (ICF-credentialed coaches only). CLICK HERE TO VOLUNTEER
  • Volunteer to help in a general way at any or all of the events. Contact Norman Viss at normviss@gmail.com for more information and signup.

In order to make this week a success for all of us, we need everyone to get involved in any way possible.  Be sure to get all of these events on your calendar, and sign up for as many as possible.  For more information or suggestions as to how to make this week an even better one, contact Norman Viss at normviss@gmail.com or (215) 586 1673 or Sarah Moore at sarah@sarahtmoore.com
